Unselfish Christmas Sewing
Am I a little late to the Christmas presents show off? That might be the case, but truth is, you can't show presents befor the receiver opened it!
My dad like to cycle/mountainbike in his spare time. The moment I saw the pattern for a retro cycling jacket by la famille Victor, I knew what his Christmas present was going to be...
La famille Victor is a Belgian pattern company that specialises in quality patterns with good instructions. They try to work as eco-friendly as possible. Every pattern has a cute story about a family member of the Victor Family.
Their website is packed with patterns, information, tutorials and stories about their patterns.
I made the SUPERIA cycling jacket as worn by Richard Victor.
Making this jacket was very straightforward. The most difficult thing was getting all the seams to line up, but that worked out fine.
So here is the result (pictures taken with the Ipad in a dark space but they exist)
My dad was very proud, so I'm very happy I put in the effort to make something for him this year.
Hurray for handmade Christmas!
