Bow Galore

Part 2 van mijn onderbroekenqueeste. Ik had nog een t-shirt liggen dat ik absoluut nooit droeg. Te wijd, te boxy, niet flatterend. Ik moet toegeven dat ik het vooral had gekocht omwille van de print. Aanschouw het droevig gefotografeerde bewijs. (geen daglicht en geen goesting, ge kent dat wel!) Part 2 in the search for a perfect pair of undies. When I reorganised my closet, I found this t-shirt I hardly ever wore. It was quite unflattering, too boxy, too big... I admit buying it because of the cute print. Here is the ill-photographed proof: (no daylight...) Dus ik besloot er een onderbroek uit te maken. En met succes! So I decided to squeeze a pair of panties out of the fabric. And succeeded! Ik gebruikte Ohhh Lulu's patroon voor de Betty high waits panties, maar maakte het korter omdat ik niet genoeg stof had. 't Zit wel als gegoten omwille van de 6 patroondelen. Gaat keurig rond de poep! I used Ohhh Lulu's Betty High Waist Panties-pattern, but shortened it because of the fabric limitage. Due to its 6 pattern pieces it fits like a dream! Zoals je kan zien in de bovenste foto, gebruikte ik vouwbare elastiek om de beenopeningen en taille af te werken. 't Was de eerste keer dat ik zo'n elastiek gebruikte, maar da's echt supersimpel! Nog makkelijker dan biaislint aanstikken! Door de elastiek begint je onderbroek ook echt op een onderbroek te lijken en niet op een vreemd misvormd stuk stof. Heel tof. In een uurtje was deze af. Ik gok dat als je een patroon gebruikt waar je niet meer aan moet sleutelen, je makkelijk naar 2 onderbroeken per uur kan doorschuiven. I used foldover elastic to finish both waist and legopening. It was a first for me, but it worked like a charm. It's easier than sewing on bias tape and really effective to shape your undies as well! I finished this one in about an hour, but if you don't need to fiddle around with the pattern, I think you easily finish two pairs in one hour.
