Sew It Up 3 is coming + I'm going to Paris + Sewing Translated Winner!

sew it up logoAs you all know by now, I'm the co-founder of Sew It Up a sewing community for people based in Belgium & the Netherlands Sew it Up started as a competition after a lot of talking on Twitter that we deserved our own version of Project Sewn! Since Sew it Up has evolved into a real community with monthly challenges and a vibrant group of lovely ladies of all ages helping each other and talking sewing all the time! If you love seeing what sewists in Belgium & The Netherlands are up to (let me tell you, there's some serious talent in this part of the world too!) you can enjoy yourself with the third edition of Sew It Up - The competition. First round starts on Monday, October 19th and the theme is 'Music'. I can't wait to see what everybody will make! This edition, everybody will compete for a full 6 weeks in order to showcase their talents and blow us away with amazing work. I'm really excited about this! Hop on over to Sew It Up to check out previous articles and get to know the contestants and the prices! Amongst sponsors for this edition are Closet Case Files & Paprika Patterns, to name a few. We also have Knipmode, Bernina, Naaipatronen.nl, Fournituren.nl & Antwerp Local Fabric Store: Pauwels Stoffen. The second thing I'm really excited about is my upcoming visit to Paris. If anyone is in Paris in the first week of November and would like to meet up and shop fabric together, please let me know! I'm in Paris 3rd ,4th ,5th of November and would love to meet local sewists! Last but not least, the winner of a copy of Sewing Translated is Kirstin Schrier!
