Made to order designs are now in the shop
This weekend I added the first pieces of a collection of made to order designs to my new Etsy shop.
I've been playing with this idea for years now, and I decided that 2016 would be the year I made it happen.
As you might guess, creating new designs from sketch to pattern to samples to photographs...it takes a while, but I'm very happy to announce that the first items are now online!
I'm so excited to present them to you!
My main starting point was: what's missing? I wanted to add items I'm desperately looking for in stores and I wanted to offer them to you, since you might feel the same.
I came up with 3 skirt shapes and a cropped sweater.
For now, they are available in one fabric each, but I plan on sewing more samples in different fabrics, to give you all an idea for customization options.
Let me introduce the first pieces to you!
Featuring a pointed yoke and a partially elastic waistband, this skirt is a perfect, comfortable everyday piece. Made in a cotton sateen, it gives the right amount of shine to a busy day.
There are 4 pleats in the front and 4 pleats in the back.
This skirt closes with a lapped zipper at the center back and has in-seam pockets.
You can find more details about this skirt in the store.
This high-waisted flared skirt is one of my favorites. Why? Well, leopard printed super soft twill. It features a narrow waistband, in-seam pockets and a center back blind zipper.
The hem is finished with bias tape for a perfect finish!

I heart this cropped sweater! Cropped sweaters are my favorite type of sweaters, but current highstreet stores seam to disagree with me! Those of you who often wear high-waisted skirts or fit and flare dresses might now the issue of cardigans and sweaters that are too long, cutting you of at the hip and distorting your silhouette. Well, no more.
This cropped sweater has wide, sturdy ribbing at the waist, cuffs and neckline. This cotton sweater also has just the right amount of glitter from a lurex thread.
You can find more about this sweater in the store.
The favorite piece of all: a circle skirt in burgundy/plum tone faux suede. It's perfect for festivities (holiday season anyone?) but also perfectly wearable for day-to-day activities.
I'm in love with the deep color, the side seam pockets and the side-seam invisible zip.
The hem is finished with bias tape for extra volume.
