What I've learned last week #26

The last couple of months, I've learned a lot of things online. I'd like to share a couple of those with you. Maybe they can help you too. #1 We all learn that if you want proper shaping in your garment, you need to pass close over the apex (for example the bust apex). They did it differently at Balenciaga. Here are possible solutions in case you want to move your bodice lines. #2 It's not about whether you are good enough, but about what you are capable of giving. #3 I have some serious callus on my fingertips and certain parts of my hands from sewing and so on, but it's not enough. #4 Laura Mae never stops inspiring me with her makes and tutorials. We also agree that shoulderpads are not the enemy. #5 Raf Simons is rocking it at Dior. Here's a slideshow that shows construction from sketch to walking down the stairs on runway day.
